I had a wonderful time away.  Among other things, I discovered you’re never too old to build a snowman.  Although, if memory serves (and granted, it doesn’t always serve well) my snowmen used to be much bigger.

Is the “mini” in my Mini-Me snowman due to my having grown taller or lazier?

And while building snowmen is fun, snowball fights are not.  Too many childhood memories of ice chunks hidden in snowballs.  (Nasty Canadian boys.)  However, a mitten or glove of snow in the face or down the back of the neck is acceptable.  Not particularly pleasant, but acceptable.  And revenge is sweet.

The great thing about our memories is that they are exactly as we want them to be. Childhood snowmen of whatever size we could manage...and now that we're that bit older, even if taller, our physical capabilities are sometimes just as they were when we were 8. Now, I'm looking at this lovely photo and asking myself, which one is Beth?? (you may feel free to put a snow encrusted mitten down my back next time I see you!!). xoxo

Snow White and the snow white dwarves. Pity you were 5 dwarves short!

How cute! I like the middle one :-)

Ha! I can see your dilemma – we’re all rather round!
(If there’s still snow when we meet, watch out...)

On the plus side, you’ve never had to shovel snow or scrape it off a car. Perhaps someday you’ll get a chance to play in it??

Yeah, I could do with some more men/helpers but when you have to make them yourself… ;)
(Such a great imaginative mind you have.)

Thanks! I’m rather partial to the one wearing red mittens. ;)

Looks fabulous, and cold....brrrr. I must have known nicer boys, I don't remember getting ice filled snowballs in the face.

That look of expectancy, delight and wonder, right?

I hung out with a tough crowd… ;)

Neither. The "mini" is due to your successful attempts to create the world's cutest snow persons.

Glad you had a great time playing in the snow, Beth.

Did you ever read Fifth Business by Robertson Davies? There's a stone in a snowball that starts a whole series of events.
