I’m a happy camper!
(just an expression – I don’t like camping)
While I’m sure most people understand the joy of receiving flowers simply because someone cares about you and not for any special occasion, I’m not so sure everyone will understand why a divorce brings happiness.
Well, God forbid you ever find yourself in my shoes (or boots) but if you’d had to wait as long as I did to get one, I suspect you’d be happy – and relieved – too! No regrets. (Except for my kids.)
January and December? Not so good. February? Things are looking better…
Knock on wood.

hope this is a beginning to a lot more happiness and good times.
cheers :)
it's good to stay happy :)
A single woman with a gift of flowers is happy more often than not. I hope the feeling lasts.
Well. That's a relief and a half. Glad that is finally resolved. Happiness is good. Without a doubt. How are the boys doing?

Ditto!

But not always possible…

I hope so, too.

Such a relief!
The boys are all doing well. Life is good. :)
I'm so glad you're feeling better. hope this year brings you many flowers
nursemyra:
Flowers in the metaphorical sense – just some happy moments to offset the sad or bad…

GOT THEM!
I knew you’d “get it.” :)
Oh honey, I do understand (moreso on the "dissolution" doc than the unexpected beautiful bouquet). And how many times did you say to yourself "this sh*t is never going to end" but it did?! Woohoo! I'll be doing a happy dance and chocolate binge in your honor, Beth. Go, you! CONGRATULATIONS!

Knock! Knock! I am superstitious so I would too. Oh, yes, often enough divorce is call for great celebration. And in your case, your kids aren't really kids anymore (although they always will be in some sense) and so this will affect them less and affect you greater in such a positive-more-forward-out-with-the-old-in-with-the-new (even if it is only a sense of a new and un(or less)fettered life. A great deep big sigh of relief. Take a shower tonight and as you wash, brush away all the negative energy connected with this process, shake it off and watch it wash down the drain. Water is very cleansing, as you probably well know. Off to take a shower myself after scout camp - I have three-day camping hair! And I will be sending much of my own accumulated negative energy from this weekend (but more in the way of rhumey coughs and grimy fingers) down the drain.
Robyn:
Said that so many, many times over THE YEARS it took!
Thanks for joining me in celebration – actually did do some dancing tonight and, of course, ate some chocolate. ;)
The Bodhi Chicklet
The drains might get clogged – from both of us!
Seriously, I got rid of the negative energy months ago – this is just a bonus.
Kudos to you, Scout Camp Mom!
It's the Year of the Dragon, it should get better! ;-)
Zhu:
I checked out The Year of the Dragon - hope it works for me!
Very encouraging photos, both of them!

Even a half-assed housekeeper can achieve success!
Seriously, it was all 50/50. (I hope…)
that 'decree absolute' is such a wonderful piece of paper to hold!
Beth, "half-assed" housekeeper keeping 50/50?
Are you subtly telling us he got away with half your buttocks?
Say it ain't so!
LW:
“To have and to hold”…and then file away! ;)
Cip:
Rest assured – my ass was not “up for grabs” during the negotiations!
The flowers are beautiful and beauty deserves company. I hope the year unfolds well for you Beth.
Juliette:
Such a lovely comment. Thank you. And I hope 2012 is a wonderful year for you as well.
I love the beautiful flowers Beth, no one deserves them more than you. You have been through so much, I hope 2012 brings you nothing but good things, love, laughter and just pure joy.
Your boys adore you, they are amazing, that says so much right there.
Here's to a magical and special 2012 and beyond. Negativity be gone.

I want to be where you are at; metaphorically speaking of course. I have nothing more I can give; just trying to pay lawyer bills, pay taxes, and see my daughter. I keep hearing about moments of happiness at the end of the tunnel, yet I still wait.
I think 2012 will be a great year for you.
Finally! Able to move on with your life...so happy for you!! xo
