Weekend Summary

Wine, women and song.

The song portion courtesy of three iPods and singing our little hearts out. LOUDLY.

Lots of good food but those calories were burned off with laughter – the belly-ache kind.

Sitting on Muskoka chairs on the cottage deck in t-shirts with our pant legs rolled up basking in the hot sun.

The next day – snow. Bizarre.

Sightings/Non-Sightings

- one duck
- heard one loon (I love loons)
- some creature in the woods too far away to identify (I’m okay with this)
- no bugs (too early)
- no mice (my fall battle prep was a success!)
- no bears (very much okay with this)
- one loud noise outside my window which woke me in the middle of the night with heart pounding. I do believe it was a pine cone falling on the deck. (hey, it is very quiet up there – sounds are magnified - it makes perfect sense to think a wild animal might have been strolling on the deck)

A good time was had by all.

I want to go back. Today.

Sounds lovely, even the slight reminder about our sometimes not right at the top of the food chain incident!

It could have been a one-legged animal wearing a clog.

Your ankles are going to get a nice sun tan. I hope the Yeti in the woods appreciates them.

You should work with me. We have lots of loons .

I get spooked easily by unexpected noises, too. But on second thought, noises don't wake me up, only human hands hanking me awake do...lol.

We had that, too, a beautiful day followed by SNOW (on a Thursday) which disappeared by Sat.

Glad it was fun and full of calory burning laughter.

basking in sunshine followed by frolicking in snow sounds like New Zealand.

Have you heard "Four Seasons in One Day"?

Looks like the best WE! No bugs is definitely a place - these little Canadians can be a pain.

YEAH for no mice! But it's a constant battle, isn't it? Don't give up any ground you've already gained, is what I say. Glad to hear it was a healing weekend. Yes, sounds are either amplified or are more audible to us without background noise. Also, our senses are stimulated to be more receptive to everything. Sitting in the sun with your pants rolled up in April? That absolutely begs snow to fall the next day.

How many calories exactly are burned by belly laughing? Because I could totally get on board with that exercise regimen. :)

I'll have what she's having.... but longer... and with a crisp bottle of cheeky chardonnay...for about 12 years, please.

Damn, girlfriend... how good is your life! ;)
