GMAC/Follow-Up
Regarding my frustrated vent of yesterday - not only did I receive a prompt response from GMAC in the comments section, I also received an e-mail and a phone call from an extremely helpful gentleman.
The matter is being dealt with in a very satisfactory manner.
My thanks and appreciation to “Mr. GMAC.”
I am amazed and delighted.
Corporate blog-watching exists. And while it is a phenomenon I would never abuse, it’s good to know blogging has become such a powerful tool of communication - a force to be reckoned with.
This experience re-affirms my belief that when the “do-not-underestimate-or-mess-with-me” Beth is unleashed, things happen.
I like that.

It's amazing they read your blog and responded so quickly. I wonder what kind of monitoring software these companies have. I'm glad to hear they listened to you... but I can't help but think corporate blog-watching is a little creepy!
It is creepy, but one can use it to their advantage.

I'm actually not particularly creeped out by the phenomenon. If I don't use a "key word" I won't get a hit on the blog. But if I want to....
guy:
Again - as to the "creepy" factor of blog-watching. It exists, we (most of us) now know it and we go from there.
(And thanks again for making me aware of it.)
Well, that all is a little scary, but certainly fascinating...I am glad it worked, I'll file that one away should I need to every use it.
Yup, blogging is amazing. I just posted about my Oregon vacation and some dude who reviews Bend restaurants was my first commenter. My initial thought was "how the hell did he find my blog". Searching of course! :)
oreneta:
Hope you never need to use it, but if you do - why not?
dan:
There is definitely a "wow factor" involved - they are fast. Which makes perfect sense - it's their job!
All behold the power of Beth! :)
princess pointful:
And the power of blogging!
