Summer Holiday

I’m heading to the cottage today and will be away for just over a week.

While I’ll be taking my trusty laptop with me, I doubt I’ll be doing much blogging. The Internet connection up there is just too frustrating.

E-mail’s fine (with no attachments!) but checking blogs takes forever – too many images.

(Honestly, though, what are the odds I don’t occasionally check in?)

But I don’t want to be spending valuable family/cottage time ranting at my computer. My sisters will be at their cottages and my Mom and some of our “kids” will be up.

I have some decisions to make while I’m there – one of which is my future vis-à-vis the cottage itself. Twenty years is a lot to give up.

So, I’ll be swimming, sunbathing (yes, with a hat and sun lotion), reading, eating, laughing (and loving) with family - and thinking.

I’m actually kind of tired of thinking about various issues and matters – but at least I’ll be in a wonderful place to do it.

Hope everyone has a great week.

I’m planning to – come hell or high water.

(The above picture is of our raft – hosting one of its regular visitors.)

Have a wonderful, relaxing time, and yes, stay away from that pesky computer! It looks like the weather is going to be fabulous, so you should be outside swimmming, walking, reading, drinking, and yes...thinking.

Hope you make the decision that works best for you and all your family.

Oh gosh the old 'give up the cottage' thing brings tears to my eyes...

Have a good week! Somehow thoughts are more clear up north, along with the water and the air.

Hey, wait. You're not supposed to go on vacation now. Canada doesn't celebrate the 4th of July!

Oh, I suppose. You have fun on your vacation. We'll be here when you get back.

...don't give up the cottage. (not that I've seen it, or been there, or know anything about it, or the ramifications of owning it, or what you'd do with the $$ if you sold it...etc.)

Home tomorrow, kiddo. (I LOVE you for asking.)
Saw your comment in my e-mail. It took ten minutes with this Internet connection to bring up my blog to reply to you. (Feel special.)
Next week I begin my next "battle."
Not looking forward to it.

I'm honoured. Will get at it ASAP.

Thanks. I'll check it out.
