Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose…
Places to go, people to see, things to do…
Hit the road, Jack…
Certain expressions or clichés exist because they contain truisms. And as jumbled or incomprehensible as the above combination of lines may seem, they ring true in my life right now. Which is also a bit jumbled.
Without getting into all the whys and wherefores, I’ve come to the conclusion that something’s got to give. In fact, a number of things have got to give. With regret, I’ve decided blogging is one of them.
During the summer months, my blogging efforts are sporadic at best so this is a good time to take my leave – be it a temporary or permanent one.
If I do return, it will probably be with an anonymous blog. While I have a soft spot in my heart for some of my regular lurkers, for certain others? Not so much.
And if I don’t return? My best wishes to you all – blogging friends both old and new.
And my thanks for the laughter, support and glimpses into your lives I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing these past few years.

Ohhhh,
So sad, but I get it too.
Let me know if you want to meet up this summer.
All the best, and good luck with everything,
O
That's very sad, Beth. There is something very maternal about you. I would trust you with my most precious assets.
You will be missed!
Thinking fond thoughts for you and your happiness.
Ha! Just when I'm getting ready to come back, you're leaving. Acck!
do what needs doing, beth...
i have no plans to leave, but one never knows what's around the next bend
keep writing....
I've relegated myself to mainly lurking -- similar reasons (something had to give). All the best!
Oh! Sniff....
Please, when or if you do start an anonymous blog, I hope you'll invite me to read it. Though I know that way it wouldn't be anonymous, but well, you know...
Do keep in touch in any case - please!!!
It is so hard to blog in the summer. So....I'm hoping you're only taking a (an?) hiatus until the fall. wishful thinking on my part, perhaps. ;) If you do go anon, please, please let me know. wishing you the very very best. xo
:( I will miss you....
Keep in touch won't ya!
If you do come back as anonymous, please let me know - you know where to find me. I'll even find you a neat French or Chinese pen name if you want ;-)
You will be missed. I really have appreciated you here in this sweet and precious and crazy world that is blogging. Be blessed, my friend.
Blogging or having a life? So difficult to choose between them :) Take care, you'll be missed.
you'll be VERY missed...
...and you'll know where to find us if you need us or want us.
:)
But who will make me laugh now?
Oh... You MUST return!
I'm sending you the best wishes for a most wonderful summer.
Hugs and love,
Angie
I'll really miss you, Beth. I always enjoy your writing and comments. You get straight to the point, with humor and sincerety.
All the best,
xoRobyn
Oh, it will be sad to not see you on your page here, but I wish you great things, Beth. There are times in life when we must prioritize our leisure activities... I personally hope that you will reappear, but that is just selfish of me.
Cheers!
Life happens. So does change. It's hard but it's usually for the best. Enjoy this change and may it be for the very best!
I'll miss your insights. You're thoughtful (keeps me thinking); amusing (who doesn't love that?); and private (not everyone needs to know your plans). OK, and honestly, I love that you've cut off lurkers who need to know (several times each day) what's happening on your blog. You rule, others may drool.
Thank You, Beth, for sharing your world, insights, humor, book suggestions and perceptions of life in general with us. I know you made my world much brighter and shall be missed. However, I get it, I really do. I've been going back and forth with my with my own blog. Sometimes a break brings a certain clarity.
Best of luck to you with everything you do. I wish you much love and happiness in the months ahead.

The more I tune in here, and see that you are serious about this abdication -- the sadder I am!
I hear you, Beth. I've cut down on blogging big time and I just don't have time anymore. I already am in support forums for Cis and Usher and then keeping up with Facebook, blogging is low on my list of things to do and I'll only post highlights and updates.
BTW, I'm waiting for approval from insurance for a second implant. :)
Funny, I have been thinking about doing the same thing. Have a wonderful, restful summer. I hope you do come back or at least let me call you with MOB questions.
oh i feel sad :( how strange :( i am glad if you need to do this. sometimes we have to let go of things but man i'll miss you. xo
I would have discovered this message earlier . . . if my own blogging hadn't been so sporadic as of late.
Can one be a sporadic blogger? It isn't quite the same, is it? Yet to lose touch completely . . . too sad.
All best wishes to you, and please write if you find yourself in London again. Or just write, anyway!
xx
I've been a blogging laggard myself... partly due to a 500+ Facebook friend list, which is even more disturbing.
I'll be watching and if you do blog again and want the friendly lurkers to know where to find you. I'm at ockenden@netidea.com. Let me know.
I miss your Blogfulness...
It's sad....
Bummer...I miss you stopping by. Come by from time to time anyway...and stay away from the bears up North!
Still missing you....
[frown]...
oh.
It's almost November.
Missing your perspective on things....
Just wanted you to know that I have moved, if you ever do blog again.
Cheryl
I've always wondered about this Jack
Just thinking of you, so hello Beth! Hope all is well as you hit that road and drive through it all...
Hope you are well.
I miss your words.
