A book giveaway for her new book “The Pirate and the Penguin.” If you have a child or know of a child (you must know at least one) they would love this delightful story. Although I’m not a child (okay, sometimes maybe I am…) I love it and I own two copies. One will be given away as a Christmas gift and the other is mine to keep. Yes, I am the proud owner of an autographed copy.

She possesses a talent for being funny & silly as well as for writing and illustrating.

Kids books are actually really fun for silly grown ups like me, sometimes ;-)
I'm far too sophisticated to purchase kids books (I make the wifey-poo buy them for me)
i like pirates and penguins too. it's not fair that i'm no longer a child (or that i'd rather have a penguin than a child) but i still like to read children's books.
Totally delightful...as a mother who bought many children's books as her boys were growing up, I love the illustrations as much as the stories. There is something heart warming about art that is created for a child's point of view and perspective. It never fails to touch me as an adult!

Aaawe! I love reading children book. I remember the first time I went to the library, it was in grade one and it was a trip to the public library. I was so jealous when other kids got to borrow books!
I hope she does well with her children's book. It's such a competitive market. Also, have fun while you're there!

Thank you Beth. I have to get lots of Christmas gifts for my special friends, and books are my favorite. I LOVE children's books. What can be better than a pirate and a penguin tale. I will take your word for it and pick up some copies. You know I always love when you suggest books, you have never missed yet.
