Pour Moi

I bought myself a new car!

Traded in the big one and bought my dream car – less expensive, smaller, more compact, easier to park and still has room for a 95 lb. dog.

Those whose dream cars are in the $50,000.00 - $150,000.000 price range (or higher) might find my “dream” somewhat puny.

Don’t burst my bubble.

Heck, you can’t anyway.

The changes (mine) – they are a comin’!

(P.S. I did not buy a convertible.)

You have a 95lb dog! Holy cow.

So where's the new car photo then!? Nothing wrong with a small car. They're better for the environment too, so all good news!

Congrats on the new car!

Not Holy cow - Holy dog!
Scared of a 95 lb. dog?
He's the most gentle, loving creature I know.

psych grad:
Thanks - I love it. It so me! (Whatever that means...)

Yeah for you and your new, wonderful car! From me and my 80 pound, gentle giant of a dog.

Your dog's just tiny!
Aren't big gentle dogs a joy?

Congrats on a new, economical, environemtally-safe compact car. If you like your car, who cares if others don't like it. I love the Grand Ams, especially the silver ones. Sharp!! I owned one (a red one) for eight years before Hubby talked me into trading it in for a minivan. After awhile, I drove his car-I hated driving the van. Two years later I decided to give up driving so it didn't matter anymore.

Congrats!

Beth,
We always had little fluffy dogs. Last year I went to the shelter and something in Saddie's eyes connected with me. I am so glad I brought this dog home. She is by far the best dog I have ever owned, an angel in a fur suit. She is so sweet, so gentle, loving and so easy going. I can't believe she was suppose to be put down the very day we took her home, because she had been there the maximum amount of days. Actually, a few days over because the girls at the Shelter also loved her and kept hoping she would get adopted. I just can't figure out who would have let her go or not try to fing her. She is perfect. I love her, can you tell.
Aren't you glad you asked? Ha, sorry to gush, but you are so right about big dogs.

I bought a new car (new to me that is) this summer. Two grand, and with second generation airbags. Hopefully there'll never be a need for them to deploy.

Congrads on the new car! Someday soon I have to trade in my huge SUV for something more practical.

I never had to drive a mini-van (station wagons only) but always wanted a smaller car. Now I have one!

carmachu:
Some people really do care about the price tag - it's a status thing.
I don't. Never have.

eileen:
Wonderful dog/love story. Makes Saddie that much more special because you rescued her.

jr:
Congratulations on your new car!
Sounds like a good price to me.

mike:
It's great driving a smaller car - although I've noticed I tend to go a little faster...

Happy New Car!

:)

We have a big dog too...."Eddie Spaghetti" is our Rottie. He's a big teddy bear...to us. To strangers, he's a running, growling, barking set of teeth & muscle.
...and that's just the way we like it!

lainey-paney;
Great name for a dog!
And our dog has a fierce bark, too - classic case of his bark is worse than his bite...has never bitten anyone.

Cool. Expensive dream cars are overrated. I'm very happy with my 15 year old 300ZX. :)

You must pamper that baby...
See how long you can keep a car in running order once your son starts driving!

Congrats on the new car...my dream car would be one that doesn't have room for children in the back (I could actually go someplace without having screaming/fighting children in the back), LOL

Until you can buy your dream car, buy a used limo - they have that window you can open or close between the front and back seats!

Ahhhh (sighs longingly). I had a sweet little red sportscar pre kids. Now I have a minivan. I can't see NOT having a minivan for a very long while. But when I don't have to (of course, I have a 95 lb dog as well, that will never change) I plan on taking your lead. Congrats!!!!!

Well, I don't have a sports car (the picture I posted was deceiving) but I do have a red, compact "fun" car.
Here's to your future car!

YAY for you!! That's wonderful. I still get a thrill each time I walk to my car and whenever I see one my year (a '95 Honda). For whatever reason, it suits me, and I love it. I also miss my big 110 lb. love. I've never had another dog like him and miss him terribly sometimes. Enjoy him while you have him. I think it's a travesty that owners have to outlive their dogs by so many years. Cheers to you on the car and changes. I hope it feels as good as it sounds!

Thanks. The changes (mine) do feel good.
And I do love my big old mutt - he's got to stay around with me a few more years...
