We got home from vacation today. I’m beat. How on earth do I manage to arrive home tired from a vacation???
We had a great time. No details right now — a) because I can hardly think straight and b) perhaps I’ll save it for another post. (And the title of that post might be “Why you would not choose Beth as the # 1 person to take with you on a vacation.”)
It is absolutely pissing rain right now. What rotten weather for a night when so many people are out drinking and (god, I hope not) driving. Our three kids are out but I have faith in them. Even if I didn’t, there’s no way I could fret and remain awake until they’re home. When my head hits the pillow, I suspect I’ll be gone in a matter of seconds.
My big plans for tomorrow? Make my New Year’s resolutions (kind of a waste of brain use based on past resolutions), catch up on blogs, put away the last of the Christmas decorations (man, I wish I’d finished that chore before I went away) and simply putz around the house and enjoy family while they are all still home.
Oh yeah, one more thing (yes, I am still awake). Our youngest made a New Year’s Eve dinner tonight. Yes! How wonderful is that to come home to?
Must close.
Happy New Year To All! And to All a Good Night!
(I know, I know, it’s the wrong phrasing for this particular festive occasion — told you I was tired.)
