Hey, there...

Thought this would be an opportune time to slip back into the blogging world – everyone’s so busy with Christmas preparations they might not even notice.

So, yeah, the prodigal daughter has returned. To all who urged me to do so, who kept in touch via email and let me know I was missed, my sincere thanks and appreciation.

My return to blogging is accompanied by a number of self-imposed rules – the very best kind to impose. Self will be extremely lenient if I fail to adhere to these rules.

This post is simply a “Hi, I’m back,” one. What I’ve been up to these past months may eventually emerge but don’t hold your breath in anticipation. Nothing earth-shattering has taken place. (Which is a good thing.)

I’d also like to offer encouragement to all those (such as myself) who are lagging behind with all the seasonal hoop-la.

Think about it. Christmas Day arrives no matter what you have or have not managed to accomplish. I’m being gentle with myself this year. If we (I) continue to eat shortbread at this present rate, there won’t be any left for Christmas. So be it. I may or may not make more - depends on my craving for sweets. And if I don’t get my last minute shopping done? I’m going to blame the massive snowstorm we are currently experiencing – with yet another one predicted this weekend.

Season’s Greetings to you all.

I’ll be in touch – slowly but surely.

Welcome back!

Let's see...if I don't get the rest of my shopping done---people will get checks.

In light of the fact that I learned tonight that we have to replace the hot water heater...tomorrow...well, people may get a emailed picture of my new hot water heater with a little note that says, "here's your christmas gift. I'll think of you every time I turn on the hot water."

Wow, look how many people didn't notice! :) I mostly took a vacation during the same time, ironically. I wrote a few things, but hardly anything on a "daily" basis.

I'm not sure how long I'll write a blog, but I think the urge to write will always trump the idea of giving it up entirely.

Welcome back.

Thank you for stopping by my blog. In fact, I saw I had a comment from a 'Beth' and my first thought was, "Well, it's not Beth at Books, Etc, although I hope she's well." Imagine my surprise when your hyperlink name took me back to your blog.

Welcome back! You've certainly been missed.

Nice to see you again, Beth. And nice to hear someone else was not organized for Christmas this year. ;)
