"All My Life..."

“All my life, love had trumped sadness and anger. It had been that kind of life. Let it continue, I prayed. Let me do the right thing.”

Belong To Me
Marisa de los Santos

The beauty and wonder of reading. Not only do you discover someone who so eloquently puts into words certain thoughts your mind and heart can relate to, you also meet someone who understands.

And that brings the world a little closer.

So well spoken Beth. Amen. Books, authors, words, reading = bliss.

The essentialness of reading is interesting, isn't it? Thoughts, feelings, ideas, facts... from the brain to little symbols to the page.

Then we read them and connect with the brain and heart that were the source.

It's science fiction really!

I've got a pretty good imagination but I can't begin to imagine a life without reading.

I love the way you put that. I'm saving your comment and putting it with my quotation collection.

Couldn't agree more. It's amazing how reading opens the mind to new experiences or just makes it so easy to immerse yourself in it. Knowledge is power and reading is one way to learn and expand the mind and "just be."

Prayer - and hope.

It's like traveling and discovering new worlds - from home.

Good authors have that skill - to untangle our thoughts and make them understandable. I think it helps keep us sane. . .

It certainly helps keep me sane - or enables me to consider myself not so crazy...
