The Abominable SnowBeth

I have blogger’s block – a condition similar to writer’s block except that with writer’s block you suffer a loss of income. With blogger’s block you run the risk of losing an audience. Neither is good.

(I also have writer’s block but that’s another story…and I’m too blocked to write it.)

So, to the rescue - my trusty camera and the able assistance of my son.

And voila! You are subjected to a picture of Beth and Major in the snow in lieu of a scintillating post.

And there is a hell of a lot of snow around. Again. If it wasn’t so beautiful I’d be quite ticked off about having another major snowstorm in less than a week.

Major and I are on the back deck. I very kindly shoveled a path there to enable him to get to the backyard with a little more ease.

The watery blobs on my mitten and on Major’s body must be melting snow that landed on the camera lens.

The fact that my legs are crossed does not mean I had to go to the bathroom. I must have been going for the casual look.

I wore the scarf/neck warmer to go along with my (semi) incognito theme. It really, really smelled. Whoever wore it last forgot to throw it in the laundry.

And I don’t have an enormous head. I’m wearing the hood of my coat over my hat.

I am so stylin’!

As I write, there is thunder and lightening in addition to the continuous snowfall. I am NOT liking this storm.

Another theme noted - the Stewart family and "potty" talk.

I can't remember now where you live. You have a lot of snow. I can see snow on the mountains in the distance. That's where I like it.

You are definitely stylin'! I won't tell you what the weather was like here today, all the way in Los Angeles, but I honestly don't think I could DO snow!

I laughed out loud on the smelly scarf part! Ewww!

We haven't had any decent snow at all here this year. I'm very jealous!!!

It feels like forever since I last saw snow - a month in Germany and not a single flake over Christmas.

It looks totally romantic until you have to get out there at 6am and start shoveling the car out!

I'm with Lynda, it is pretty, I do love it, for a very short while. It just goes on too darned long. You look the height of Canadian winter fashion!

I live in Toronto! Home of the shovel, snowplow, snowblower and lots of white stuff. (The wet kind.)

I "DID" more snow this morning. It's gettin' really old...

mamma:
I'm having a little trouble feeling sorry for you - this morning. More snow overnight - everything is buried AGAIN!

lynda:
Yes, it only looks romantic. Have just come in from digging the cars out for the third time.

oreneta:
Very fashionable - the bulky look but minus the snowpants.

mrs. g.:
I'm interested. Very.
Email? (My address in on the blog.) MSN? Let me know - or I'll contact you.

We are here even when you are not.

Yeah, I prefer my "look" in 80 degree weather to that of the one in minus zero weather.

guy:
Thank you, my friend.

Just heard today about the next snowfall coming on the weekend. I'm not a happy camper.

charlotta-love:
For you, sweetie, I will smile as I make my way through the drifts of snow.

Man, I wish WE'D get a ton of snow. Then I wouldn't have school tomorrow.

Oh, wait. I don't go to school anymore.

Beth said...

dorky dad:
It takes a lot more than a ton of snow to close schools around here. (Freezing rain, poor road conditions, white-outs...)

I love this shot! Yes, so stylish, baby! And yeah...wasn't that crazy, the lightening with the snow? What the hell is that all about?

Thankfully Guy is at home this week, so he's been doing all the shoveling, of which there is a LOT.

The snow is real purty, but only if you're inside, looking out the window drinking coffee, or maybe even something stronger...

Stay warm!

I've seen this view -- too many times -- not you and the dog (I could look at that anytime) -- THE S.N.O.W. - UGH!!! And there's more coming on Saturday -- Mother Nature -- give it a rest!!!!!!!!!!

I think this is a fun picture Beth. We live in the snow belt, as we are not very far from you, but we have not been hit as hard, on this side of Lake Ontario. Mostly ice. I know it will come, and I dread it.

You do look like your styling, even is disguise. Major looks like he is enjoying himself, and like he has done this drill many, many times.

Here's to warm weather, that I know will be coming soon, say June.

XOXOXO
