Smiles (and Laughter)
I have been awarded the “You Make Me Smile” award.
I consider this a gift – one that means a great deal to me.
My sincere thanks and appreciation to Eileen.
Smiles and laughter are two of life’s greatest blessings. To be able to do either while life is also throwing you some wayward curves has been a saving grace for me.
My kids are able to elicit the biggest smiles and the wackiest laughter from me. Thank God for their craziness. (Wonder where they got it from?)
To think that I have been able to produce smiles (well, at least from Eileen…) gives me enormous pleasure.
I would pass this award along to Dan from Dan’s Blah Blah Blog but he’s taking a blogging break right now. (I miss him.)
I would also pass it along to Diesel from Mattress Police but he would sic Grundir the Implacable on me for doing so. Such a scary dude.
And I’m not sure if Dorky Dad has this one. (He’s got tons of others.)
If you don’t have this particular one Dorky Dad, consider yourself awarded! If you do have it, consider yourself twice blessed...
I am also passing it along to All Mod Cons.
The above-mentioned bloggers are able to make me smile and laugh no matter what kind of a day I’m having. That truly is a gift – on their part and for me.
Actually, I’d must say that just about every blog I read makes me smile.
And I thank you all for that.
(The above photo is my youngest as a baby – love those infectious smiles!)

Thanks, Beth. Grundir might have something to say about this eventually. :)
A lovely photo!
And congratulations on the award!
Congrats Beth!!!!
You always make me smile....and that picture is perfect!!
diesel:
Hey, I played by the rules! If Grundir has anything to say, it better be nice and/or sweet...if he can.
No wrath!
casdok:
Thanks - I was so touched to receive it.
beth:
So glad I make you smile - and that makes me smile!
Awww, look at that lil face!!
Awww. That smile of your daughter's is a winner. :)
Congrats on the award.
You make me smile...and I can see why Eileen gave you this award. Congratulations!!
I love the baby photo...GO JAYS GO!!! (they could use a little "help"..is he ready to play for them yet??)
Yes, humour, children and smiles - like sunshine breaking through an otherwise cloudy humanity.
I am at two with nature.
- Woody Allen
Thanks! Mainly for the kind words, really appreciated! I shall wear my award with pride!
And yours is completely deserved, you do indeed make me smile on a regular basis.
attila:
Cute little guy, huh? His smile makes me smile.
shari:
Yikes! No daughters - it's my youngest son! (Hard to tell with babies...)
sherry:
Age wise, he'd be ready - he's 20. Baseball skills? Not so much...
gary:
Love that Woody Allan quotation! We use it to tease my middle son who is definitely not the "nature guy" the other two are.
all mod cons:
Well, then, it's tit for tat!
(And I'm not being rude - that's an expression...)
Woo Hoo!!
Your blog is always good for a smile...congratulations!
Baby smiles and laughs are the BEST....
trish:
As is yours! (As you know...)
oreneta:
For sure!
I love the picture Beth!! What a perfect smile and such a cutie. You really do deserve this award and I am glad it made you smile.
XOXO
Ooops. (red face).
eileen:
Thanks so much for giving it to me - such an honour.
shari:
No red face necessary!
Congratulations! And so deserved. Consider yourself gifted one by me, too. You rock, Beth. (I miss Dan, too. :( )
angela:
Right back at ya' - you make me smile, too.
And you make me think - in a good way.
The two best things a blog can do is make you smile and make you think. Both are Beth specialties!
princess pointful:
Your comment made me smile!
HOW DID I MISS THIS?? Ugh. I'm going to go to my bathroom so I can beat myself over the head with a plunger. (Not really ... plungers are gross ...)
Anyway, thanks a billion Beth!!!
Oh yeah, and you definitely make a heck of a lot of people out there smile! Congrats!
dorky dad:
Thank you and you're very welcome and
here's to smiles and laughter!
(Plungers - not so much...)
