Because....
…..so many of you left further comments and/or e-mailed me, I thought I’d provide an update.
The surgery was a success.
I am home and doing very well.
That bit about “low energy after surgery?” Very true. Very frustrating.
I hate it.
I don’t think I’m a great patient.
Just ask my sister – Nurse Ratchet.
She has been absolutely wonderful. And so have my kids.
I am surrounded by people I love and who love me.
That counts big time in terms of recovery.
Thank you all for your thoughts and best wishes.
P.S. I'm still on a break….

glad to hear from you...keep taking care of yourself. Recovery sucks. Better than not recovering though I guess.
What are you reading?
Wishing you well from Oregon, Darlin.
Nurse Ratchet here - just wanted to let everyone know that Beth is a trooper while making great progress (and we've had some laughs over allowed time intervals between meds.......I'm not convinced that 'twice daily' means every three hours - so far I've won). Your comments and support mean the world to her - and she is right on the mark when she says she is surrounded by people who love her. That, in the end, makes all the difference in the world. Her strength and determination are so bloody admirable, and her kids rock - I love them as my own (even though they can't convince me to do their laundry...hers, yes - theirs, no). Beth (my Sheiba) - we all await your return to blogging - you brighten our days immeasurably.
I'm so very glad things went well.
We love you too!
xo
So glad the surgery went well! And hats off to Nurse Ratchet!
Hope you are able to enjoy some of this amazing weather...
I am so glad that things went well and that you're home. Take all the time you need but just hurry up! ;)
give nurse ratchet a hug for me.
Thanks for the brief hiatus from your break! Take care!
When I first read this post I thought you said "sugary." SUGARY? I asked. What kind of weird Canadian thing is that? And why would people be so concerned about it?
Then I re-read it and realized my mistake.
But I wish you luck on your recovery, and your break, and hope all things are well!
Glad to hear that the road to recovery has begun. We hope to see new posts coming soon. Take care of yourself...
Happy recovery!
Get well soon!
Get well soon! I had pneumonia and the recovery was six times longer than the illness. Boy, did that make me cranky.
At least you can read more while you recover!!!
I hope you have enough books to read!
And that your recovery is speedy, of course (I was too quick on the publish button).
I'm so glad you have such a wonderful and caring sister - you are both so lucky.
You aren't surrounded by EVERYONE who loves you.
