Check It Out

New Year’s Resolution # 1 — done!

I got rid of that dopey picture of myself in the sun hat and big sunglasses. Of course, some people might think I replaced it with an equally dopey picture. I’m still going with the Beth-on-the-dock-with-sunglasses theme but this time, I’m not grinning like a sap. Hey, serious topics are often discussed on blogs and when I leave a comment elsewhere regarding serious subject matter, I don’t want to be captured for posterity grinning like everything is just hunky-dory in the world. Sometimes, it’s not.

Confession. Not only is it a different dock, it’s a different Beth. The picture was taken years ago. Not for prying eyes (I cropped the image) but I’m actually wearing a bikini. Ah, the good old days. I think the bikini bottom would fit around one thigh now. (Slight exaggeration.)

I like this picture because a) it looks like I’m reading a book which goes along with my blog theme and b) I am more disguised — not so “in your face.”

Beware all. Beth has mastered the use of the new scanner. Hubby helped big time but is amazed at how fast I caught on.

I promise to keep my posting of pictures to a minimum. Really.

patricia - OMG - you've "outed" me re: the Baby Huey pics! Was debating whether to post them on the blog or send them to you privately. Do you "D-double-dog dare me" to go public?

Yeeaaah!! I Double-Dog-Dare ya!!

C'mon...I showed a pic of me as a chubby kid wearing a two-piece bathing suit and sporting a lizard! It's only fair!

Beth, with an image like that you have nothing to be ashamed of. That is a lovely photo.

patricia - Well, okay. I'll take the dare. But, gee, maybe those pictures are lost or perhaps burned or somebody stole them??? (I'll look. Promise.)

Guy - Thank you very much, kind sir.

beth - Well, I did admit that the picture was taken years ago...
As for the Baby Huey pics - damn Patricia for letting that cat out of the bag. All in good time, my dear. Gotta dig them out of storage first.

(Glad to see you're using your new picture. What is it with the "Beth's" and new pictures? We're in sync.)

Like the picture, glad you stayed with the dock theme... Never tried a scanner, although I agree with you, one of the side benifits of this is that we do figure out things we might otherwise not learn.

oreneta - I'm not even going to admit how long it took me to change that profile picture. I could not do it the "Blogger" way. Had to find another site that would give me a usable url to copy and paste into the profile photo section. My family thinks I have lost my mind. (Maybe...)

nomad - Uh-huh, I'm due for a change too. But I'd have to go back in time to get that look again.

I love the picture and us men like to be left to wonder you know!

Do I send this here road kill via air mail or snail mail - how fresh do you want it?

Baron - I always appreciate comments but I don't understand the meaning of your second sentence. Huh?
