I’ve been “tagged” by Ragdoll at My Tragic Right Hip. And, like Ragdoll, this is my first time. (Nothing like that other first time, but pretty darn special…) I have to come up with 5 Things You Don’t Know About Me. Considering how much I’ve already blabbed about myself on this blog, this is going to be tough. Anything “unknown” has been left unsaid for a reason — to protect myself and the innocent (my family). Not to mention the fact that I already did an “Only Ten Things About Me” post in November. People are going to know way too much about me.
But it’s an honor from a blog buddy— so here goes:
1. I once lived in New York — the centre of the publishing world! (Okay, I was two years old and we lived in the ‘burbs just outside the city for a year, but still…)
2. I have a phobia about driving on the 401 (a multi-lane highway in Toronto). In fact, I haven’t driven on it since I was somehow “squeezed” off and ended up god-knows-where. I did try again but experienced doozy anxiety attacks. I am embarrassed about this.
3. I wrote an 85% fictitious memoir in university and got an A for it. This still haunts me. Was it really cheating? Can you plagiarize your own memoir?
4. I rarely (if ever) swore until I had children. Go figure.
5. The first time I smoked dope (and I did inhale) was on vacation in Georgia at the age of 15. (Thank you, cousin Judy.) It did nothing for me. But, wow, man, those ocean waves…
(Re: #5 — My kids already know this story. They’re old enough to handle it.)
So, there you have it. And who shall I tag?
Trish? Huh? Please? (You can use some of your old already known “unknown” facts.)
Patricia? As a well-established and much-tagged blogger, can you bear to do another one?
Adrienne? Do you do these things?
Attila the Mom? Are you game?
Lyn? How about you? What more can you possibly reveal?
And I’m going to save the last tag for my friend Lynn C. who has been creating a blog FOREVER. When she finally publishes it, I’ll get her!

trish - thanks! you're a pal and a kindred spirit...
Ok. posted my 5 things no one knows about me. I'm running out of things no one knows!
adrienne - thanks! As for running out of things no one knows - never! There's always something...
I am pathetic I know - but a couple more sessions on the computer and I should have it put together the way I want it to start out. It's hell being a perfectionist!
lynn - you are under A LOT of pressure here. I will be looking for perfection!
Yay! Tagged and answered. Much more fun than a chain email about Nigerian banking.
And it totally counts even if you lived in the 'burbs and were two. It's still NYC, greatest city on earth next to Paris and London.
ragdoll - Of course I "answered" the tag! I'm like that. I tend to do whatever is asked of me. Within reason. (And it was fun to do.)
Ok, I finally got off my butt and answered those '5 Things!'
Your socks better be knocked off, honey! ;)
Oh, and I agree. I hadn't been on the 401 for a very long time, and was on it about 2 weeks ago and was totally freaked out by the amount of trucks on that highway! That place is a death trap as far as I am concerned.
patricia - my socks are sooo knocked off - by the fact you actually did it! You're a pal.
