Pimping My Blog Pals

Drew a blank this morning when trying to come up with something pithy and worthwhile to write about concerning my life. And then I had a “eureka” moment while checking in with other blogs. Came up with this. And why not?

KUDOS TO:

Trish at Coffee House Chatter for making the change to Beta. She fought it for so long. Welcome to the “other side.”

Attila the Mom at Cheaper Than Therapy for inspiring others with the spirit of Christmas.

Patricia at BookLust and to Baby Got Books for extending Happy Hanukkah greetings yesterday. I forgot — so belated Happy Hanukkah to all!

Oreneta at Oreneta Aground for her spirit of adventure. May your family enjoy Christmas in whatever tradition (or traditions) offered this year.

Ragdoll at Tragic Right Hip. You know what for…thanks.

Rebecca at Becspeak for being a regular and although no tree this year, for the basket of pinecones.

Mom of Three at Motherhood is Hell for doing things your way — with love and commitment.

Lynn at Lyn’s Licks and Laughs. Whether it meant to or not, yesterday’s post also inspired me this season. (Major sends holiday greetings to Chewy and Pita. Quirky dogs are a pain and a treasure.)

Beth at Blind as a Bat for your honesty and humor. Hut tubs and cold coolers are good things.

Adrienne at Bookmark My Heart for your ambitious reading plans, recommendations and lovely posts. And for responding to my tag.

My thanks to you all. Friendship via cyberspace is a wonderful thing. If I got any of the links wrong, let me know. That was a hell of a lot of linking to do. (And dear God, I hope I didn’t forget anyone.)

As well, my thanks and appreciation to all who read my blog — some I know, some have not made their presence known. Either way, it makes me feel special to have an audience!

Hey good idea on the blog pal shout-out :) that was a lot of linking to do. You got mine right now I'll go check the others and catch up on their blogs as well. And then I'm getting off the computer...just a few more minutes.

How was the game last night? Did the right guys win?

Trish - Right, just a few more minutes on the computer...
Friday night success on two fronts - you were successful and so was my team. (Go, Leafs, go!)

I love the shout out's to your fave blogs...esp. cuz you included me!! Shout out right back to ya! Can I steal that idea from you?

Don't you just love blogging and making friends? It makes my day to read what comments people leave me, and I really look forward to it.

Keep recommending the good books too!

oreneta - yeah, a pic of the thong stall would make a fine gift - fits right in with the "naughty or nice" Christmas theme.

beth - for sure, "steal" the idea - pimp away...
More good book recommendations to come. Have you tried Janet Evanovitch's (sp.?) series re: Stephanie Plum. Funny, "sexy" and a great fast read.

Beth (again) -

P.S. Correct spelling is Janet Evanovich. Latest in the series is Twelve Sharp - A Stephanie Plum Novel. Suggest you start at the first one (if you haven't already.)

Hey, thanks for the mention!

And was I not right, hmmmm??? Isn't blogging damn good fun?

patricia - As if you "need" another mention! And, yes, you were right - it is "damn good fun." A tad addicting when you start, but...

Hey, thanks for the shout!!

Making those gift bags turned out to be a much bigger project than planned, but the guys pitched in and they looked wonderful. The home picked them up yesterday for their celebration today.

Everything had to be sugar-free. I guess the diabetics get mad if the non-diabetics get real candy, and it's a hassle for the staff.

Remind me not to get old. You're not allowed to have candy. :-(

"attila" - I'm still so impressed by what you and your kids did.
And if getting old = no chocolate, I'm not so sure I want to "go" there.

Thanks for the shout out. I've enjoyed making the acquaintance of a neighbor to the north. Now I have someone to ask the great cultural questions that keep me up nights, like why isn't it the Maple Leaves? Plural is plural, right?

dj cayenne - I am a nice neighbour to have. (Note the different spelling of "neighbour" - another Canadian "thing.") I read your comment re: The Leaves to my husband. He just laughed - said it was a coined phrase. I'm actually going to check it out. Will keep you posted - so to speak.

Thanks for looking into the "leafs" vs. "leaves" controversy, and thanks for the additional investigation that you e-mailed to me. Now that's a good neighbour.

DJ Cayenne - Too bad it wasn't more definitive. But it provided a nice "time-out" for me.
