I gave prior warning that an occasional post would be hockey oriented. Well, this one is both hockey and family oriented. Son # 2 took part in a Coach’s Clinic at the Air Canada Centre yesterday.
Picture #1 — my son is standing beside Paul Maurice, the coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs. How cool is that? (From left to right — Todd Griffin, Josh Nobrega, Paul Maurice and Ted Stewart).
Picture # 2 — Ted in the foreground strutting his stuff on hallowed ground/ice.
Ted is interning with Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment at the ACC and earning two university credits while doing so. What a dream job for a young man with a passion for hockey. (I like to think he inherited his passion and skill from his mother.) No pay other than a transportation stipend but does that matter? Not a whit. Certainly not with such perks as yesterday’s opportunity to “assist” Paul Maurice with the Clinic.
Go, Ted, go!
